Problems

Been having problems with the App for Blogger and so many have not been posted. Looks like I have lost what I wrote too. Anyway will try to re-do most of it but some posts will now be out of order.

Go Carts

Yesterday started as a sort of let's do this and maybe that and see where it goes. As it turns out it was a rather full day.

First up we went go carting. Originally I wasn't going to go, just the boys, but when we got there they were going to be the only ones on the track so I said I'd join them just to give them some numbers on the track. They're a bit slow as I lapped them both. It was a lot of fun and having the track all to ourselves meant we were able to get the carts really flying.

Coffs Harbour

We  had a pretty uneventful trip to Coffs, arriving yesterday around 2.30. The resort is still as nice we remember and once again we got a great room with an excellent view. This is a panorama from our balcony. We'll post more as they come.

Late yesterday Donna and I went for a walk out to Muttonbird Island just as the sun was setting. I'll post the photos later but I can say it was quite a good sunset.

Whale watching

Last night as we walked up over Muttonbird Island we saw that there are whale watching tours out from the harbour.

Donna, Nicholas and I managed to get on one straight away so out we went. we were lucky with the weather on the way out as it had been quite choppy seas in the morning but had calmed a little by the time we went out.

It didn't take long either to see a whale, just as we exited the harbour itself we spotted a blow followed by another. It was a small pod of 3 whales. we followed them for some time, staying just away from them but still within viewing distance. They were traveling pretty leisurely so we drifted quite a bit. we didn't get any spectacular shows jumping out of the water but occasionally they drifted close to he boat.

The weather turned a little rougher on the way in and Donna was a little sea sick but she still enjoyed the trip.
