Marcus Music School Band Battle Doncaster

It was that time of year again when Marcus joins with other members of the Manhattan music school and performs as one of the acts for the end of year battle of the bands. Manhattan do a very good job with support from all of the tutors and students. They book the room at the Shoppingtown Hotel Doncaster and put on about 30 - 35 band acts each year. Marcus was once again in 2 of the acts and he really does enjoy himself, expecially this year as he got to perform one of the songs he really likes, Green Day's "American Idiot".

Here is a quick video I took of him. Please excuse the sound quality, although we were in the second row this year it is still really terrible sound and difficult to hear the singers at times.

Nicholas Graduation Mass

Well, it really is getting to that time where Nicholas will be no longer a schoolboy but very soon a uni student.  It becomes very clear of the approaching time when we attend the Loyola Graduation Mass for year 12's. This is the final ceremony for students prior to exams. They actually receive their graduation certificates as well as farewell mementos. (Let's hope he passes :)).

Sometimes working at Docklands is a bit of drag because it is on the fringe of the city but sometimes it has its perks. Like this magnificent sunset.
